Uniform
At Ferris Dance Company we have set uniform requirements we ask all students to follow. All students must wear black clothing and be able to move freely. As a base all students should wear black leggings/hotpants /cycling shorts and t-shirt for girls and slim fit black dance joggers/ black dance leggings or black dance shorts and a black t-shirt for boys as this is accepted across all classes.
Absolutely no denim (jeans, shorts, dungarees, dress etc), no dresses, skirts, jumpsuits/playsuits or school uniform should be worn to class. No sandals, flipflops or dolly shoes are allowed.
Students are allowed one pair of stud earrings in their lobes, no hoops or dangling earrings please. Any other piercings need to be cleared with Nicole prior to class as piercings pose a safety risk and need to be assessed.
No necklaces, bracelets or anklets are to be worn during class. Fitness watches are allowed but this is at the class teachers discretion and any damage caused will be at your own risk.
Hair must be tied up for all classes.
If a class teacher or our principal ask you to remove any jewellery/tie your hair up or similar this must be adhered to for safety reasons.
We also do have branded hoodies and t-shirts that students can purchase if they choose to. Please speak to Nicole or Kirsten if you'd like to order, alternatively please feel free to order via the website.
Please note that we offer a 4 week grace period when a student joins meaning they can wear any colour clothing providing they can freely move for their first few weeks as they settle in, after this period is over we do then ask that you invest in black uniform.
